Before First Use

Hydrate & 'Bloom'

Prep Warm Water

Combine half boiling water + half room temp. water in a cup or chawan.

Soak & Wait

Soak the prongs in the lukewarm water (40-50°C) for 5 minutes.

Hydrated !

The Chasen is now ready and well-hydrated.

Care & Maintenance

Rinse well before and after each use.Place on whisk stand to air dry.

All about your personal chasen, answered.

Yes, you absolutely should. We recommend that you bloom (soak bristle part in warm water) before first use. (see the above hydrate & bloom guide).

Highly reccomended. This ensure the chasen is air-dried properly and holds its shape better.

1x Chasen main unit, 1x top lid, and two removable strainers — a two-sided Tritan filter and a stainless filter.

Made from a single piece of bamboo, designed to suspend the fine matcha in water.

Do not wash with detergent.

Rinse well to hydrate before and after each use, and always let it air dry or on a whisk stand ideally.

Our Chasen whisks are hand-carved and shaped directly out of bamboo.

There is a slight, natural variation in size and shape.
